Temporary Works CAD Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Temporary Works CAD Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Produce sections and engineering drawings from survey data / 3D Models;
- Be aware of applicable NR standards and ensure designs comply;
- Ensure designs are coordinated with MEP as required and include all temporary arrangements;
- Reporting to the Temporary works design team manager;
- Produce detailed construction drawings for the Temporary works design team;
- Coordinate with delivery and design team to produce workable solutions;
- Implement CAD standards to ensure the high quality of drawings;
- Provide safe and workable temporary works designs;
- Work closely with the engineering team assisting with any CAD requirements;
- Provide administration assistance to Temporary works design team where required;
- Produce site sketches, site layouts for Construction delivery teams.
Requirements:
- A strong work ethic and an enthusiasm to learn, develop and share knowledge;
- Proficient skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation & ProjectWise editions;
- Skilled in both 2D drafting and 3D modelling techniques;
- Previous experience as a CAD technician for tunnelling or civil engineering work. Experience in other industries and disciplines will be considered.
