Our company is looking for a Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all programme assets both on and offline;
  • Working with the Content and Communications Manager on how visual identities and user experiences are best applied across our online platforms;
  • Helping direct the sourcing of print;
  • Creating conceptual hand drawings to support proposal documents;
  • The ability to liaise with design team members;
  • Social media content and identity;
  • Providing conceptual thinking whilst delivering commercially viable solutions;
  • Liaising with clients following proposal presentation, gaining feedback and making design revisions where necessary and appropriate;
  • Manage own projects, liaise with project team members, site meetings, design workshops and site inspection as required;
  • Presentations;
  • Software prototyping and concepts – translating complex and abstract notions into appealing visuals;
  • Breaking down software functionalities and putting them back together;
  • Overseeing design and development of physical assets where relevant;
  • Working closely with site surveyors to ensure designs and quotations are appropriate for client needs and expectations;
  • Provide design sketches and reports as required for schematic, design development and constructions phases of projects.

Requirements:

  • Working with the Content and Communications Manager on how visual identities and user experiences are best applied across our online platforms;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Managing all programme assets both on and offline;
  • Deep listening skills to effectively deliver clients’ needs and articulate these successfully to internal colleagues and design ideas;
  • Planned and organised – Ability manage time effectively to work on a number of schemes at same time;
  • A first class graphic designer with a stand-out portfolio;
  • Confident enough to know when they are right – and when they are wrong;
  • Design for web: An understanding of grid systems and responsive frameworks;
  • Knowledge of After Effects, Flash, HTML 5, Dreamweaver, CSS, Java Script. Although not essential, knowledge would be advantageous;
  • An interest in changing trends in design;
  • A fantastic eye for detail and with a high standard of work;
  • Compatible with the latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator);
  • Confident with explaining the concept and how you arrived at the end product;
  • Can hold their own in a fast-paced creative studio;
  • Design for print: Brochures, adverts, logo, branding, direct mail, campaigns.
