Our company is looking for a Head of Design to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Creating inspirational samples & the creation of technical garment specification drawings for buyers;
- Working directly with factories in Asia and the Far-East;
- Working with Buying and technical within pre-determined budgetary constraints;
- Leading the Design team;
- Working in conjunction with Buying team;
- Raising brand awareness amongst stakeholders;
- Working closely with the QA department on technical drawings with measurement tables;
- Use of CAD for the creation of original graphic artwork, product development, print designs and graphics;
- Creation of initial trend/story boards;
- Selected travel to relevant Fashion and Trade shows and reporting on design features;
- Technical design – including trims, panels and stitching detail.
Requirements:
- Understand different Client procurement routes;
- Experience of site/contract procedures would be an advantage;
- Experience leading successful design teams;
- Strong stakeholder management skills with expertise in providing rational decisions and a decisive direction;
- Good understanding of multi-channel interactions and design principles;
- A strong understanding of user scenarios, user roles, personas, workflows and usability testing;
- Experience leading creative pitch work and multiple digital projects – presenting ideas to senior client stakeholders and internal directors;
- To conceive, sketch and iterate on a wide variety of interaction design projects;
- Design;
- Design packages;
- Communication skills;
- We don’t need to see social / environmental work, but some experience of working with brands trying to create more purpose and meaning is preferred;
- Photoshop;
- Competent working with clients and helping bring on new business;
- A minimum of 7+ years industry experience working within the Office Interiors sectors.
