Our company is looking for a Senior Animator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce in-game animations to the highest standards of fidelity and style as demanded by the project;
  • Work with the animation team, demonstrating strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule to required standard;
  • Continuation of your technical knowledge, including adapting to new technologies and processes;
  • Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work;
  • Implement animations into the project’s engine and liaise where necessary with the technical designer/programmer to facilitate this;
  • Consistently create high-quality animations that directly contribute to the realisation of successful game characters;
  • Comprehend and execute direction from Lead Animator or Animation Supervisor;
  • Contribute to the conceptualisation of character behaviours and abilities;
  • May supervise the work of entry, mid and mid-high level animators at the discretion of the Animation Supervisor;
  • Take ownership of animated work from early pre-visualisation to final polish;
  • Performs other tasks related to the creation of computer-generated animation.

Requirements:

  • Project Management;
  • Video Editing Experience;
  • Knowledge of Unreal Blueprint system;
  • Experience using Unreal 4;
  • A liking for the Star Wars brand;
  • Excellent organization and communication skills;
  • Experience of creating animation networks,
  • Knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting; expert knowledge of Maya, proprietary and other software programs;
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy,
  • Knowledge of both the CG production pipeline and the other production processes at ILM;
  • A self-motivated team player with good communication skills,
  • Practical knowledge of current 3D software (Maya, 3DS Max and Motionbuilder),
  • Knowledge of chaining and constraint techniques;
  • Ability to communicate with artists and technical team members,
  • Creative skillset that can adapt to technical requirements,
