UI Designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a UI Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Take ideas from early conception to final delivery in an efficient and timely manner;
- Understand and design towards a digital environment, creating customer experiences that work well on multiple devices;
- You will need to present your ideas and rationale to stakeholders and the wider team to create the best solution for our customers;
- You will be involved in brainstorms to generate ideas for key marketing campaigns and promotions;
- You will be able to understand business objectives, data and customer feedback to influence and evolve the experience & design;
- Working with the design team to figure out functionality and features of UI;
- Contribute to continual improvement as part of the agile process;
- Create icons and layouts in keeping with an established art style;
- Keep up to date with the latest designs and trends;
- Champion the ideal customer experience at all levels of decision-making from strategy to execution;
- Work closely with the team to understand problems and collaboratively develop smart solutions;
- Create wireframes and prototypes for design exploration and user testing;
- Work alongside the Product Development team to deliver designs and assets on multiple concurrently running sprints;
- Champion usability and user-centred design;
- Objectively defend design decisions in the context of HCI design principles.
Requirements:
- Coding and troubleshooting HTML/CSS for rapid and collaborative creation and iteration of web prototypes;
- Strong, minimal, modern design aesthetic;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design rationale;
- Strong knowledge and opinions of supplementary design platforms (Invision, UXPin, etc.);
- Solid understand and passion for user journey mapping and prototyping;
- Strong technical skills and the ability to implement UI solutions in engine;
- Proficiency in Sketch or Adobe CC;
- Up-to-date sense of UI design trends, techniques, technologies, and best practices;
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and be a team player;
- Use of motion graphics (or similar) software to design, present, and specify interaction animations;
- Creative, proactive, user-centric, problem-solving attitude;
- Familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, and Javascript;
- A keen eye for composition, clarity and usability;
- Demonstrates competent execution of effective digital communications, interface design and interaction design across different digital platforms;
- Expert fluency and in-depth usage of a primary design platform (Adobe, Sketch, Figma, etc.).
