Domestic Cleaner Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Domestic Cleaner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that when working with residents you always demonstrate courtesy, consideration and kindness;
- Working effectively within the Housekeeping Team and uphold the home’s core Values;
- Working on your own initiative to clean classrooms, offices, halls, boot rooms, cloakrooms,
- Laundering of patients personal clothing when required;
- Receipt of complaints re Laundry service from wards and departments are communicated to a Housekeeping Supervisor;
- Floor care maintenance;
- Emptying of all clinical and general waste and removing to designated areas;
- Specialised cleaning of theatres and infected areas as requested;
- Disposal of clinical / non clinical waste and sharps;
- Vacuum general areas;
- Dusting general areas;
- Daily cleaning of wards, offices, and public areas;
- Stock Rotation;
- Sweeping, hoovering, mopping, wiping down surfaces, cleaning toilets;
- Ensuring top up levels of clean linen are maintained for the activity of wards and departments.
Requirements:
- Competent to operate cleaning equipment;
- Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality;
- Evidence of Health & Safety, COSHH and Infection Control Regulations;
- Evidence of working in a NHS environment.
