Assistant Management Accountant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assistant Management Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with cost centre owners to identify and understand reasons for variances to budgets;
- Provide Variance Analysis and Profit and Loss information to Senior Management;
- Standard costings and BOM;
- Sales and debtor management, including debtor reporting;
- Overseeing vacant property inspections and occasionally attend the property;
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations for review by management accountants. Raise any issues with the Management Accountant in a timely manner;
- Post any adjustments/expenses provided by Payroll;
- Responsible for maintenance of accurate and up to date financial;
- Suggest and implement process improvements to improve the financial control environment;
- Monthly variance analysis and investigation;
- Assist MA in setting up analysis models on a monthly basis;
- Issue daily report for sales tracking;
- EC Sales;
- Data entry and checking of claims;
- To support on any projects, as required by the Financial Director.
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic and uses own initiative;
- Accuracy, attention to details, tenacity, drive and enthusiasm;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships at all levels both internally and externally;
- Excellent ERP system experience (preferably Maconomy project cost module);
- Variance analysis reporting;
- A flexible and proactive approach to work;
- Experience in the creation of reports for management at all levels;
- Accurate;
- Capable of contributing to the development of new business systems. – Essential;
- Both curious and passionate about doing things better;
- A minimum of 1-2 years office based experience (ideally within procurement / logistics);
- Auditing invoices received from the client and returning them to client;
- Matching PO’s;
- Data entry and checking of claims.
