Our company is looking for a Audit & Accounts Senior to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts preparation in accordance with the firm’s procedures;
- Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders;
- Organise personal effort along with those of junior auditors to be risk-based, productive, and efficient at all times;
- Perform other related duties as assigned;
- Support and mentor trainees; deliver clear and concise training, identifying knowledge gaps;
- VAT returns and general bookkeeping;
- Liaising with other departments within the business, including participating in group and firm wide activities;
- Preparation of company accounts, groups of companies, partnerships and LLP’s together with Tax computations;
- Building excellent working relationships with clients;
- Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns;
- Submitting accounts to Companies House within deadlines;
- Offering support and guidance to junior members of staff;
- Travelling to client premises as required and to deal with clients in a professional manner either in person, telephone or by email;
- Develop relevant knowledge and skills through continued study;
- Delegate and review work of junior team members; including audit files, draft documentation, accounts and corporation tax computations and mentoring.
Requirements:
- Monitor the progress of jobs to ensure that budgets are met;
- Supervise small teams;
- Produce statutory accounts and draft tax computations;
- Accurate and Methodical approach to work;
- Experience of Xero, Sage and other cloud based software preferred plus IRIS accounting system;
- Be organised with an understanding of the importance of delivering excellent client service;
- 3 or more years PQE within a Professional Practice;
- Able to identify commercial and professional risks and ensure effective management;
- Work well under time pressure and is able to meet deadlines;
- Self-motivation and a positive attitude;
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Qualified or part qualified ACA/ACCA currently studying, AAT or exceptional QBE;
- You will need to be client facing;
- Experience in the preparation of financial statements;
- Project a professional manner and appearance at all times.
