Our company is looking for a Audit Senior Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing individual and group statutory accounts under UK GAAP, including FRS102;
  • Ensure the whole team are aligned with professional standards and compliance with GIAA’s new single audit methodology and audit management software;
  • Assist in supervising/managing the audit staff including appraisal process/mentor groups/retain etc;
  • Actively encouraging business development and building new client relationships;
  • All aspects of audit and statutory reporting;
  • Managing budgets and negotiating fees;
  • Planning Audit assignments in accordance with IAS using the software provided;
  • Maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS;
  • Draft all management letters, finalising of accounts and letters of engagement;
  • Reporting to audit Partners and Directors;
  • Budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of engagements, focusing on optimising profitability;
  • Acting as the initial point of contact throughout the year for your clients;
  • Acting as audit lead on fully listed and AIM listed clients;
  • Allocating work, briefing and controlling the Audit team, and ensuring compliance with timetables;
  • Develop specialist knowledge of a sector and/or technical area, and/or commercial area.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or soon to be);
  • The right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship;
  • ACCA;
  • ACA;
  • Qualified;
  • Audit of specialist organisations such as pension schemes, solicitors and FCA regulated;
  • Management;
  • A strong client focus is a must in order to manage a portfolio of diverse clients and engagements simultaneously;
  • Reporting directly to Partners and liaising with other managers as required;
  • Relevant CA or the equivalent qualification is a must;
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of external audit clients;
  • Ability to demonstrate the development of an industry network;
  • Willing to invest in staff and be key to leading and building further depth in teams focussed on PIE work. Team coaching and mentoring skills are key;
  • Experience of managing relationships with senior individuals at a client;
  • Self-motivated, taking responsibility for your own personal development and set an example to others around you.
