Our company is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collating information for monthly and quarterly supplementary submissions (Sales);
  • Assisting with establishing and maintaining planning and reporting processes in respect of new lines of business;
  • Improvements to the divisional monthly Cost of Funds reporting, working closely with Group Finance and Treasury;
  • Produce and develop the monthly Finance reporting packs and work closely with Group Finance on their design and ensure alignment;
  • Understand cost base; understanding actuals and identifying risks & opportunities, ensuring cost focus with tight control over cost centres;
  • Supporting sales managers with information to aid decision making and explanations of period performance;
  • Produce weekly sales reports for key senior staff members;
  • Monitoring and analysis of key supplier activity;
  • Maintain accurate cost of sale database capturing all commission related activities;
  • Assisting with periodic reporting of accrual and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with external auditors;
  • Production of monthly management accounts;
  • Provide similar finance support on the other major planning processes (Strategic Plan, Half-Year Review);
  • Business partnering and supporting company leadership teams through commercial analysis and consolidated analysis;
  • Support key projects and initiatives as they arise in the business;
  • Business partnering to sales directors.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified;
  • Strong analytical ability, accuracy and attention to detail;
  • CIMA / ACCA Part-Qualfied or Finalist;
  • Previous experience as a Finance Analyst in a fast paced environment;
  • Studying towards/completed finance qualification CIMA/ACCA/AAT;
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA equivalent qualification (desirable);
  • Previous experience in finance analysis;
  • At least 2 years experience in finance;
  • Experience working in Retail / FMCG / Hospitality & Leisure;
  • Good personal planning & organisation skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of excel;
  • Be a self-starter and ability to manage own time, priorities and drive key projects;
  • Ideally experience working within FMCG or Retail.
