Our company is looking for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Handling client queries;
- Manage a portfolio of clients, providing compliance and consultancy advice;
- Overseeing assignments, management of budgets and deadlines;
- expectations;
- Preparation of corporation tax computations;
- Reviewing corporation tax computations prepared by team members;
- reviewing work of more junior staff;
- Collaborating with the Senior internal team, including Partners and Directors;
- Correspondence to HMRC queries on business tax;
- Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients through business development;
- Research including on specific projects as appropriate;
- Managing HMRC aspect enquiries on behalf of clients;
- Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken;
- Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service;
- Business development, including the tender for new work.
Requirements:
- Completes work to a high standard of accuracy;
- Able to communicate effectively and keep others informed;
- Ability to spot new business;
- Able to cope with the pressure of high and varying workloads;
- At least 3 years corporation tax experience and a suitable professional qualification, preferably CTA (or equivalent);
- Working to deadlines;
- Working towards (or interested in working towards) completion of the CTA qualification;
- Keen to develop through new experience, responsibility, and accountability;
- A clear focus on delivering a high-quality service;
- Ability to take a problem-solving approach – to analyse information and situations and generate reasoned and risk-based solutions;
- Able to generate ideas to assist in meeting client expectations;
- Exposure to varied corporation tax assignments;
- Must have the interpersonal skills to build relationships both internally and externally;
- Ideally ATT qualified.
