Our company is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a constructive working environment;
  • Differentiating and allocating extension exercises;
  • Organise and manage appropriate learning environment and resources;
  • Assist with the invigilation of examinations, as and when requested to do so;
  • Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher;
  • collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher;
  • liaising with teaching staff with regard to work set for a class;
  • Supporting students in their work;
  • student registration of a class;
  • Facilitating the learning of the subject by assisting the students where necessary;
  • Working in support of Teachers in the classroom and assisting in administration duties of the faculties;
  • Motivate students to achieve their full potential;
  • Be calm under pressure;
  • Leading the class to deliver the lesson prepared by the subject teacher;
  • Working in accordance with school policies which you will be briefed on.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a UK school;
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Patience throughout the exams;
  • Reliable and flexible individual, available at short notice in the mornings for supply work;
  • Ability to adapt to a broad range of primary school settings, building positive relationships with schools, staff and students;
  • Strong behavioural management skills;
  • You are Over Seas Trained and wanting to experience UK schools;
  • We will also consider graduates who don’t have school based experience but are keen to gain experience before undertaking a PGCE;
  • Experience working in a UK classroom setting, with good knowledge of the current curriculum;
  • Enthusiasm commitment and flexibility;
  • You will ideally have experience in a secondary school, as a tutor/learning mentor/coach, or in an alternative education setting;
  • Excellent class management and organisational skills;
  • Communication;
  • Be flexible and available for Cover Supervision.
