Our company is looking for a Estimator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information;
- Work in a team and prepare the complete commercial and pricing element of a tender;
- Check detail against fire/acoustic test evidence, structural opening sizes, and other variables;
- Supporting internal customers with day to day quotes and providing final costing on material quotes;
- Visit clients / sites as and when required;
- Track communicate on and respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner;
- Once you have gained experience and knowledge we would want you to take on the role of attending site to price variation works on projects;
- Manage the estimating database and liaise with the sales team;
- Put together tenders;
- Responsible for the financial preparation of bids for the business;
- Reviewing contracts to ensure they reflect tenders submitted and margins;
- Completing contract review of order prior to launch for manufacture;
- Compile and prepare sub-contract enquiries/costs;
- Purchasing raw material to correct specification;
- Completing customer PPAP submissions.
Requirements:
- Healthcare;
- Capable of managing workloads and working under pressure;
- Must operate with absolute integrity at all times;
- Background in Drylining;
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and numerical skills;
- Critical thinking and negotiation skills;
- A good knowledge of painting and decorating;
- Is consistent & accurate work approach;
- Experience in Estimating with either a contractor or sub-contractor;
- Motivated and driven;
- Customer service skills – Essential;
- A demonstrable track record of generating specifications and seeing them through via contractors and sub-contractors;
- Ambitious, hungry, loyal and self-motivated person looking for a long-term career investment;
- Previous experience within Estimating;
- High level of initiative and a proactive approach to work.
