Our company is looking for a Financial Planner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To establish a relationship with existing clients to the extent that they remain as clients;
  • Identify and promote the other services offered by the company including, mortgages and protection, estate planning etc;
  • Build and maintain a strong network of professional contacts;
  • Where appropriate to do so, introduce the client to the wider support team and other services offered by the business;
  • To comply at all times with the regulations and internal procedures and standards and to put client care as a priority at all times;
  • To provide ongoing advice to any existing clients which reflects their current and potentially changing;
  • To conduct in-depth reviews of clients’ financial circumstances, current provision and future aims based on their changing needs and circumstances;
  • Produce a comprehensive Investment and pension planning service;
  • Assisting clients to make informed decisions and educate them on the Company’s Financial Planning and Investment Philosophy;
  • Analyse information and present Financial Plans best suited to individual clients’ requirements;
  • Full financial planning duties, as would be expected from any high level financial planning position;
  • Review Cashflow Forecasts and recommendation reports prepared by the Professional Support team;
  • Pro-actively manage new client referrals to generate fee income for the business;
  • Supervising a parraplanner;
  • Uphold the values of the firm in a compliant manner.

Requirements:

  • You will be experienced in providing a financial planning service to high net worth clients;
  • Explain effectively the benefits of discretionary portfolio management against other investment options available;
  • Understand and assess suitability of available pension income options including annuities, phased retirement and income drawdown;
  • JO5, AF3 or G60 would be advantageous;
  • Ability to develop an existing client portfolio;
  • Competent Adviser Status;
  • You will have strong business development and networking skills;
  • SPS held including specialism in Packaged Products;
  • Active listening & critical thinking;
  • Detailed knowledge of the ‘at retirement’ market e.g. behavioural and lifestyle considerations;
  • Self‐motivated, confident, detail‐oriented, and analytical;
  • Long term care / equity release / inheritance tax mitigation experience;
  • Knowledgeable of financial laws and legal restrictions;
  • Familiarity with O&M, timeline, Defaqto, Curo;
  • Excellent communication, inter-personal and analytical skills.
