Our company is looking for a Head of compliance to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that team members follow company guidelines and policies;
  • Conduct reviews, assessments, and investigations in accordance with the regulatory and internal/external requirements;
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of current compliance framework is fit for purpose;
  • Establishment and management of the Group Oversight function to provide 2nd Line assurance of the business with a specific focus on Conduct;
  • Alerting the Board to potential non-compliant areas of the business and advise on action to address;
  • Promotion of compliance through the business to ensure staff are aware of the regulatory obligations;
  • Ensuring compliance complies with all laws and regulations;
  • Conduct compliance investigations as and when required and advise on themes and trends;
  • Liaise regularly with project stakeholders to ensure achievement of project objectives;
  • Reporting to the Board on adherence to compliance processes;
  • Ensuring a strong compliance culture is maintained;
  • Independently build and maintain constructive working relationships with key senior internal and external stakeholders;
  • Developing a proactive, risk-based compliance monitoring system;
  • Strengthening the current compliance framework to become the best in class;
  • Recruit, engage and retain great employees.

Requirements:

  • Ability to remain composed under pressure whilst effectively managing and prioritising a substantial workload;
  • Holder of CF10 and CF11;
  • Positive and enthusiastic in finding simple solutions to complex problems;
  • Strong decision maker and able to lay out contingency plans when faced with uncertainty;
  • Has an excellent command of English, both spoken and written;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build relationships at all levels;
  • Experience of dealing with regulators and other external bodies;
  • Legal qualification is a plus – demonstrated compliance experience shall prevail;
  • Excellent research and analytical skills;
  • Strong leadership and people management skills;
  • Proven track record of delivering operational change and improving standards;
  • Project leadership skills and a proven leadership and credibility with directors and senior management;
