Head of Supply Chain Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of Supply Chain to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all supply chain activities across a multi-site business;
- Produce regular performance reports based on KPI analysis;
- Manage and develop the warehouse and inventory team;
- Develop the strategy and business plan for supply chain management;
- Manage and lead all customer service functions within the business;
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers or distributors;
- Work closely with global supply chain to obtain competitive pricing for ingredients and materials;
- Efficiently plan and schedule flow of work in order to meet customer deadlines;
- Managing forecasting, demand and supply planning;
- Budget Management;
- Develop problem solving skills within the customer team to ensure timely execution of customer queries as well as long term process improvements;
- Negotiating commercial terms with suppliers;
- Lead the transformation of the Supply Chain operation in line with or ahead of the demands of our businesses;
- Developing the skills & capability of Supply Chain best Practices, business sector knowledge and analytics across the team;
- Build and effectively manage partnerships within our supply chain network.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience managing Supply Chain within Fashion Retail for a multi-store, multi-channel business, Department Stores and Fashion Distribution;
- Master’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or other technical field from an accredited university;
- Experience using sophisticated Supply Chain Management systems for Sales Forecasting and Demand planning;
- 10 years + experience leading, growing and developing teams;
- 5+ years experience leading key Supply Chain transformation initiatives;
- FMCG;
- building materials;
- Experienced in a similar, senior supply chain role (not purely warehouse focused);
- Leadership;
- Hold a full, clean drivers license and happy to travel between sites on a day-to-day basis (North and South Manchester);
- Strong planning skills;
- Highly commercial and analytical;
- Understands numbers and forecasting of products;
- Strong and inspirational leader;
- Able to bring together supply chain (head office) and operations (warehouse) that are currently disconnected.
