Our company is looking for a Interim Management Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and challenging the business leads on overhead cost accounting;
  • Budgeting, forecasts and variance analysis;
  • KPI reporting and providing commentary to the Senior Leadership Team;
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including control accounts and provisions;
  • Financial analysis and forecasting;
  • Providing cover for payroll and sales ledger teams;
  • Preparation of detailed monthly management information;
  • Preparation of management accounts, Analysis of product sales; analysis of manufacturing costs, indirect and direct costs;
  • Providing support to the wider business on any aspect relating to finance;
  • Preparing weekly sales reports;
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors;
  • Develop and manage financial controls, policies and processes;
  • Point of contact in finance for sites employees;
  • Quarterly VAT reconciliations;
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.

Requirements:

  • Overseeing junior staff members;
  • Professional manner with strong communication skills;
  • Professional qualification or qualified by experience;
  • Knowledge of Sage is desirable but not essential;
  • Qualified Accountant;
  • Sage experience;
  • Strong experience in excel;
  • Can do approach- stay calm under pressure;
  • Good working knowledge of Excel (formulae, pivot tables, charts, graphs)- knowledge of macros is desirable, but not essential;
  • Large data streamlining;
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and principles;
  • Month end process;
  • Ability to analyse and interrogate data, with a good attention to detail.
