Investment Operations Associate Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Investment Operations Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support new fund products and trading instruments, as well as the investor onboarding process;
- Monitor adherence to contractual policies, procedures and controls through review of Service Level Agreements;
- Escalate issues from internal & external stakeholders to assist in resolution with the service provider;
- Assist with the Net Asset Value review process;
- Support special projects and initiatives for Investment Operations and other groups on an ad hoc basis;
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the service provider’s processes and platforms of back or middle office;
- Process data from in-house client databases; analyze and assist in the resolution of operational issues;
- Review daily back or mid office deliverables;
- Qualify new business and document compliance;
- Assist with preparation of audit requests received from Dimensional client and external auditors;
- Oversee cash reporting and projections to portfolio managers;
- Process daily transaction files from service providers and track new product activity;
- Participate in the oversight of daily operations among service providers, transfer agents, custodians, fund accountants and internal departments;
- Evaluate trade exceptions and complex shareholder issues and track reoccurring trends for management review;
- Assist in developing business requirements and data gathering as necessary for any change service requests.
Requirements:
- Ability to work well in a team environment, both locally and across international offices;
- Motivated to self-teach skills and apply learned knowledge to applicable tasks;
- Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines;
- Bachelor’s degree; Finance, Business or Economics preferred;
- Strong analytical mindset with an ability to synthesize data;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Eager to learn and responsive to constructive feedback and guidance;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
- Ability to work independently to meet project requirements with minimal supervision.
