Part Qualified Accountant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Part Qualified Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Running product valuations and post stock movements;
- Reconciliation of bank statements;
- Extensive Analysis and reporting using Excel;
- Collating payroll information and submitting to payroll department;
- Preparation of financial statements;
- Margin Analysis across 2 divisions;
- Statutory filing including ATED’s and Confirmation Statements;
- Prepare all relevant financial reports;
- Managing the group consolidation system including monitoring uploads and setting up new users;
- Other tasks when required may include, VAT Returns, Invoice finance reconciliations and assistance with end of year statutory accounts;
- Month end and Year end processes;
- Entering and reconciling bank and invoice finance transactions for TBOS clients;
- Responsibility for all tax compliance and co-coordinating with external tax adviser;
- Preparation of Income Tax and Corporation tax computations including capital allowances and Capital Gains;
- Prepare month end and year end reports.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Oracle;
- Ideally AAT, ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent;
- Sage experience would be advantageous;
- Proven experience within a similar role;
- Must have good knowledge of Excel (must be able to do pivot tables and V-Look up);
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise successfully with stakeholders across all levels of seniority;
- Experience using Sage 50 is essential, and experience using Xero is advantageous;
- 2+ years of experience within a finance function;
- Actively studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent);
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, including if statements, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc;
- Self-starter and self-motivated; ability to both be strategic or to roll sleeves up as required.
