Product Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Product Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct statistical and data methods are used across the team;
- Applying techniques such as regression, random forests, clustering etc;
- A/B Testing;
- Produce daily sales reports;
- Assist in establishment of the Product team as subject matter experts, building trust and value within the business;
- Building commercial models to evaluate the value of market opportunities;
- Collecting and organising industry analysis and intelligence that help us make data-driven decisions;
- Providing insight and recommendations;
- Understanding the customer to help develop new product and promotional content and help deliver a product strategy and lifecycle;
- Ad hoc responsibilities from senior management, where appropriate;
- Conduct deep dive analysis of product ranges, categories, feedback and potential product opportunities;
- Assist with managing and prioritising the backlog of development work;
- Support client in project work, as required;
- Help define business scope and value for proposed requirements/features;
- Building out dashboards to monitor and keep up to date with performance metrics to gather valuable insight.
Requirements:
- Be an expert user of SQL and Google Analytics;
- A/B testing;
- Experience working in Agile development environments desirable but not essential;
- Have worked in or as part of a development team;
- Commercial mentality with good communication and presentation skills;
- Mathematical / statistical background is a bonus but not essential;
- Experience with user research and discovery techniques;
- Have worked in an agile environment;
- This could even suit an ex-consultant looking to move client side;
- Experience of business benefits/success metrics and OKRs;
- You are analytical and data driven;
- Good commercial awareness;
- Proven commercial experience in a similar role for an Ecommerce based business / transactional website;
- 2+ years working in data and analytics, ideally within Fintech, FS or SaaS;
- Ability to translate complex information to a non-technical audience.
