Project Manager – Small Works Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Project Manager – Small Works to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Surveying and pricing of small project plumbing works, CWS Tank replacement and general engineering works;
- Managing suppliers and subcontractors;
- Overall programming and management of projects ensuring they are completed within budget;
- Ordering of materials and equipment;
- Liaise with clients regional surveyor team;
- Management of overdue works;
- Operate within annual budgets as determined by the UK Project Lead;
- Successfully lead meetings with both clients and contractors;
- Prepare quotes for additional works;
- Identify additional work that could provide improvements for the client;
- Undertake annual asbestos inspections (training given);
- Development of excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers;
- Provide input into the development of the building maintenance forward plan keeping in mind all future and existing project works;
- Manage delivery of planned project works;
- Work with account manager in managing suppliers.
Requirements:
- IT Literate using MS office (High level of skill required);
- Knowledge of CAD and similar project management systems;
- Previous experience of managing fabric based projects;
- Financial acumen;
- Positive, proactive approach to work and able to work own initiative and as part of a larger team;
- Experience of having operated successfully within an outsourced integrated facilities project management environment;
- Ability to work independently;
- Trade qualification;
- Organizational & detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business;
- Good communication and organisational ability;
- Experience in specification writing – NBS, Knowledge of Microsoft Project and experience with Project Management software preferred;
- M&E / Fabric / Trade background;
- Good knowledge of construction, architecture and MEPH services;
- Able to deliver quotes and survey;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with executive level internal & external clients.
