Property Sourcing Officer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Property Sourcing Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Source new landlords and co-ordinate maintenance works;
- Negotiate with Landlord/Letting Agent to ensure the property is provided at best value terms to the company;
- Supporting new team members and provide on-the-job training;
- Keep up-to-date with all written and verbal communications (i.e. emails/messages/calls);
- Create and maintain effective partnerships with local authorities and support agencies;
- Liaise regularly with line manager, New Area Officer and wider team members;
- Ensure cold calling activities take place to identify suitable Landlords and Letting Agents;
- Agree and monitor the ‘go live’ process for the property with the New Area Officer to ensure that the deadlines are met by the Landlord/Letting Agent;
- Deal with close-outs and related returns of properties;
- Keep abreast of regional variances to standards and licencing schemes;
- Ensure appropriate property certification documentation is produced and recorded;
- Ensure all records are maintained and kept up-to-date according to company policies and procedures;
- Undertaking site visits to explore new areas to procure properties;
- Completion of Fire Risk Assessment;
- Help or provide cover for other team members as required.
Requirements:
- Able to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team;
- Full UK driving licence and car;
- Good time/diary management;
- Housing marketing knowledge of local area;
- IT knowledge with experience of using Microsoft Office packages;
- Flexible, adaptable nature with the ability to work under pressure, in a calm manner;
- Professional written and verbal communication;
- Previous sales experience;
- Experience within Residential Property Lettings.
