Purchasing Operations Director Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Purchasing Operations Director to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Head up the warehouse operation including Goods in, Despatch and production teams;
- Head up small team of buyers purchasing automotive electrical and electronics products;
- Manage stock numbers and drive down inventory whilst maintaining order fulfilment;
- Manage production, logistics and packing teams.
Requirements:
- Strong financial and commercial acumen;
- Ideally MCIPS qualified;
- Electronic Engineering;
- International Logistics;
- High level of numeracy and an analytical approach;
- Warehouse;
- A number of years procurement, sourcing and category management experience in the food industry with an outstanding track record of progression;
- Excellent communication and influencing skills gained from an advisory position (internally or externally);
- The gravitas and credibility to implement ideas and ensure delivery;
- Automotive;
- Purchasing;
- Excellent level of IT competence including Microsoft Windows software such as Excel and PowerPoint;
- Demonstrates a good understanding of complex supply chain models within the foodservice industry;
- A great sense of humour and team spirit;
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience of delivering significant savings and value to the top and bottom lines of the P&L.
