Senior Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients where necessary; proactively identifying improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of all processes;
- Carrying out method development and perform validation where required;
- Using SQL to extract customer data and provide insight around customer journey;
- As the Senior Analyst you will be responsible for line management of junior analysts;
- Troubleshooting all aspects of analysis, including instrumentation, extraction and Analytical Quality Control failures;
- Research and formulate white papers, webinars to market products and services;
- Drafting reports summarising analysis;
- Carrying out monitoring the progress of analytical work and ensuring production schedules are supported;
- Interacting with clients regarding data;
- Complying with relevant legal, regulatory and company compliance requirements;
- Looking at current customer online activity;
- Responsible for management of the Division’s monthly reporting, identifying and analysing current trends;
- Production of P&L and KPI’s;
- Keep up to date with market trends and best-practice, ensuring skills and knowledge is up to date;
- Work collaboratively with various analytics teams within the business.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills;
- Proven experience in media/telecoms research, and have established a strong track record of producing thought leading reports in this space;
- A considerable level of self-discipline and self-management. It also demands someone willing and able to excel in a team environment that is agile;
- Comfortable engaging and presenting to stakeholders;
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multi-task;
- Willingness to work with results oriented team environment where priorities can change;
- An understanding of wider tools such as R or Python;
- SQL, R/Python and Data Science experience is a plus;
- Highly analytical;
- Experience in digital analytics, UX/funnel optimisation, and A/B testing and creating optimisation roadmaps;
- Dedication to high quality and accurate work;
- Solid knowledge of SQL;
- Strong Stata and Excel skills desirable;
- Confident user of visualisation tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI or Data Studio) to tell the story behind the data;
- 1 – 2 years of experience in competition economics (either from an economic consultancy, competition authority, or regulator).
