Responsibilities:
- Understand and scrutinise Sub-Contractor quotations;
- Measuring and take offs for materials and labour;
- Procurement;
- Secure contracts;
- Liaising with clients & contractors;
- Finalise tender bids;
- Submission of Electrical Tenders;
- Ensuring deadlines are met;
- Handovers;
- Variations.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and IT Skills – MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook;
- You will be Team Player;
- Liaise with other members of the estimating team and contracts managers;
- Stable and proven career track record;
- Relevant qualifications – Degree qualified ideally;
- Ensure tenders are prepared to a high standard;
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team;
- Develop working relationships with design consultants, main contractors and clients to establish communication paths;
- Carry out estimates using electronic packages;
- Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from Electrical specialists;
- Reporting directly to the Managing Estimator;
- Relevant Electrical and/or Building Services Qualifications;
- Ambitious and enthusiastic towards their career and projects;
- Management and mentoring of Junior/Intermediate Electrical Estimators within the Estimating team Estimating Team;
- Experience working within an M&E Contractor.
