Senior Land Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Land Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with legal representatives and advise on the legal status of developments;
- Running appraisals for opportunities taking into consideration the organisation’s delivery capabilities;
- Engaging with the in-house design and planning teams to co-ordinate feasibility assessments and ultimately securing consent for projects;
- Negotiate and prepare the legal documentation associated with land acquisitions;
- Take a lead role in developing bids for potential sites and submission of bids;
- Provide detailed land bids, that demonstrate the company’s requirement in respect of profitability that is met;
- Appraising potential sites and completing due diligence;
- Utilising and building up a contact base with agents, landowners and various stakeholders;
- Developing a network of agents to identify suitable 100+ unit development opportunities in London;
- Draw to the attention of the Group Land Director any issues which may affect existing or future obligations;
- Identifying sites across the South East;
- Brief design teams, external consultants and internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of planning on sites;
- Agree HOTs and purchase land to ensure continuity of land supply to meet future forecasts;
- Developing a network of agents to identify suitable 100+ unit residential development opportunities in London as well as commercial developments;
- Ensuring planning is delivered within time, budget and within any other obligations, if applicable.
Requirements:
- Proven land acquisitions experience within London;
- Candidate can come from either an agency or client-side background;
- A proven track record of self-generating business;
- Residential development knowledge;
- Possess an existing network of contacts including agents, land owners and consultants.
