Our company is looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To support and attend a foster carer support group as needed;
- To work closely with any agencies and all staff to match children to families;
- Be willing to work flexibly including evening and weekend work, when required, within the duty rota system or in emergencies;
- To act, if required, as a member of Foster Care panel;
- To contribute to the development of the fostering service;
- Providing support and supervision to mainstream foster carers;
- Supervision of pool of foster carers;
- Home visits throughout Bradford District and sometimes beyond;
- Flexible working and out of hours support to carers Salary of £28K – £38K pa, depending on skills and experience;
- Direct work with children and young people to support better outcomes and stable placements;
- Participation in all aspects of the organisation including supporting training for foster carers;
- Ensuring carers complaint with fostering standards;
- Monitoring and complying with all safeguarding aspects;
- Report to the Registered Manager;
- Form assessments and panel presentation.
Requirements:
- Experience of working within a Fostering Team is preferable;
- Occupational Sick Pay;
- Out of hours allowance;
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW);
- Dental care;
- Commitment to working flexible hours;
- Full UK driving license and access to a car;
- Willing to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including employment references and DBS check;
