Our company is looking for a Support Worker to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To encourage a positive environment for all children to thrive and to act responsibly in any interactive sessions;
  • To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and other whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality;
  • Personal care;
  • Supporting clients with communication gaining an understanding of the person and their needs;
  • Assistance and encouragement to learn life skills;
  • Developing positive working relationships with the multi-disciplinary team;
  • Helping residents to lead independent and fulfilling lives;
  • Providing active support;
  • To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed;
  • Provide full personal care to our customers including, dressing, bathing and feeding;
  • To provide personal care to all if required at the service;
  • Providing personal care following care plans provided by the home;
  • Assisting with daily living skills and teaching of independent life skills;
  • Be creative in your approach in how you present choices to the individual in order to achieve positive outcomes;
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration of the service.

Requirements:

  • Be person-centred, caring, passionate and understanding;
  • Personal care;
  • Supporting service users to participate in community and social activities;
  • the ability to build and maintain rapport with adults and children;
  • a positive, non-judgemental, empathetic and sensitive approach;
  • Cooking;
  • A warm nature with the ability to work with patience, tact, and understanding;
  • Experience is preferred but not essential;
  • Two work related contact details for referees;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
  • Competent with all aspects of care and support, such as moving and handling and personal care;
  • Caring nature;
  • Access to a smart phone or device to access your rotas, payslips and timesheets on our HealthForceGo app;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Hold or be willing to work towards Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults).
