BMS Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a BMS Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality;
- Perform : Start-up/Commissioning , Preventive Maintenance and unscheduled Maintenance;
- Properly document and label all faulty parts/units to be returned to the manufacturing company;
- Conduct day to day service checks of BMS & control systems;
- Liaise with managers, supervisors & colleagues to ensure an efficient & effective service is delivered to the client & company at all times;
- Replace BMS parts (actuators, control modules, wall controllers & valves);
- Teach and train GROUP customers on the basic operation of GROUP equipments;
- Work with other team members to complete important installation projects;
- Assist GROUP Service Partners in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance;
- Checking adequate spares available;
- Any other duties as and when required;
- Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety;
- Identifying defective parts and ordering them through line manager;
- Document all required information for each site visit performed;
- Daily monitoring of the system for faults.
Requirements:
- Previous experience installing or maintaining BMS and control systems (PLCs);
- Technical administration experience including periodic reporting and upkeep of accurate maintenance and service records Full valid UK driving licence;
- Previous experience in 3 phase installations;
- Previous experience in Star Delta installations;
- Experience using TAC manufactured systems Experience using TREND manufactured systems;
- Experience attending to ad hoc maintenance calls and break down repairs;
- BS7671 17th Edition City & Guilds qualification or equivalent;
- Preventative maintenance experience of all equipment by review and audit of materials and equipment periodically.
