Cagewash Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Cagewash Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Changing of wall filters as required;
- Carry out regular stock checks and ensuring there are sufficient supplies of all materials required inside the barrier;
- Operating the cage wash, spray port, fume chamber, shipping box and dunk tank;
- Cleaning and maintenance of all inside/outside service areas, including cage wash, stores and associated areas;
- Carry out checks on the condition and operations of all equipment and report any problems;
- Making up and wood chipping of boxes for dispatch;
- Loading, operating and unloading of autoclave carts including all data collection controls.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent qualifications including Maths, English and Science;
- Experience working in a similar environment such as warehouse, factory or hospital/laboratory support;
- Full UK driving licence and own transport;
- Good communication skills;
- Empathy for animals, whilst holding an ethical view of using laboratory animals to support medical research.
