Our company is looking for a Field Systems Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct setting to work, Commissioning, Harbour Acceptance, and Sea Acceptance test for SBS, Naval and Security Systems;
  • Participate is SBS, Naval and Security Trials and Testing activities to characterise and prove system capabilities;
  • Complete short training courses as part of a setting to work/commissioning exercise as required;
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance visits;
  • Rectifying all faults;
  • Carry out pre-installation ship surveys and site surveys for SBS/Naval and produce detailed reports;
  • When required participate in technical meetings and provide a technical liaison with the Sales team/customers;
  • Ensuring that audits are carried out of quality procedures;
  • Completing Service reports and other documentation;
  • Recording site configuration information;
  • Commissioning small projects;
  • Providing training to customers and colleagues as required;
  • Carry out service interventions as directed by the Surveillance Support team;
  • Attending calls for maintenance;
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK/EU;
  • Excellent communication skills – fluent in written and spoken English;
  • Experience with EXACQ CCTV systems and Honeywell Galaxy intruder alarm systems would be beneficial;
  • Work history needs to be checkable for 5 years;
  • Be comfortable working irregular hours and being on a 24/7 call rota;
  • Electromechanical experience;
  • Extensive technical IT knowledge, i.e. Installing various Windows Operating Systems; networking etc;
  • GENT training certification;
  • Qualifications: IT and or Electrical/Electronic qualification;
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principals such as measuring voltage and current drain;
  • FIA accredited fire qualifications;
  • 5 years’ minimum experience servicing, installing and commissioning fire and intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems, ideally GENT based.
