Finance Systems Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in system upgrades / releases and implementations liaising with end-users and developers and performing unit testing;
- To examine potential areas for Service Improvement and raise proposals with the Financial Systems Manager;
- Building financial models that translate reporting/client needs into workable financial tools;
- Act as a technical resource and internal consultant for internal stakeholders;
- Writing and maintaining Financial System Reports;
- Support and maintenance of the firm’s financial systems;
- Interact with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to trouble shoot and resolve complex problems;
- Providing 1st level global assistance to staff across;
- Updating snapshot data for Revenue for prior periods;
- Ensure there are robust procedures and processes within the application support function remit;
- Creating dashboards;
- Creation of standard and customised reports;
- Creation and maintenance of system support documentation;
- Provide timely and export advice on emerging trends and issues affecting Service Delivery and Support.
Requirements:
- Previously experienced in a Finance Systems role, ideally working and configuring Unit4 Financials (CODA) or similar;
- Experienced in delivering finance specific technical projects;
- A good project manager, able to use appropriate planning techniques to achieve business goals in a cost-effective way;
- Advanced in the use of Excel, Access, VBA, XML and SQL, with knowledge of software development and life cycle protocols;
- Process management experience;
- Experience in implementing financial enterprise applications;
- Technical knowledge of SQL server;
- Business and process inclined mind-set;
- Excellent relationship building skills with ability to deal with executives, fee earners and internal clients at all levels;
- Aderant experience will be desirable.
