IT Systems Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Systems Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Administer remote assets (mobile management);
- Take part in technical discussions and crisis calls;
- Maintenance of Windows environments;
- Provide professional user support throughout the wider 2M Holdings Group;
- Build reports in SQL and SAGE;
- Server maintenance including documentation;
- System Backup Administration. Ensuring data protection and recoverability for all supported systems;
- Assist with maintenance of organisational cybersecurity through regular penetration testing;
- Assist with the successful completion of IT projects and IT-enabled projects by collaborating with departments, project stakeholders and suppliers;
- System admin including but not limited to: ;
- Compliance;
- Maintain awareness of information technology strategies, policies and procedures;
- Password Control;
- Pro-actively assist with maintenance of end-to-end network resources;
- Input to technological research by maintaining awareness of organisational goals, strategies, practices, and business projects.
Requirements:
- Ensure all systems are updated with the latest Ani-Virus definition files;
- Input to the IT Operations & Service Desk Manager on a regular basis on technical guidance, reporting, planning, and budget;
- Site Audits:Be part of kick off meetings when discussing requirements, and conduct full IT Infra site audits;
- Ensure adequate support is accessible to the users of the services;
- Patch servers with Microsoft WSUS Critical Updates;
- Coordinate WAN connectivity with vendors;
- Ensure error-free and efficient implementation and functioning of the servers;
- Ensure all necessary technical support is provided to all internal users and maintain users’ satisfaction in the specific fields of responsibilities;
- Perform on-site and remote technical support for all UK and Ireland businesses, providing users with appropriate level of support and advice;
- Responsible for transfer of onsite server to central hosting Data Centre;
- Administer, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP;
- Ensure error-free and efficient implementation and functioning of the systems;
- Perform regular test restores and DR testing;
- Ensure integrity of backup media and media is hosted off-site;
- Adhere to our KPI’s and SLA’s.
