IT Systems and Network Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Systems and Network Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing basic IT support to internal teams (40+ workstations / laptops);
- Manage inventory related to hardware, software and other IT supplies;
- Definition, documentation and implementation of processes for deployments, monitoring and management of systems;
- Work to ensure services are aligned to project requirements;
- Managing the OpenVPN infrastructure;
- Creation, maintenance, testing and communication of system recovery processes and procedures;
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems;
- Understanding, and administering IT infrastructure systems, software, applications (some construction specifics);
- Recommending solutions and deliver internal infrastructure projects;
- To implement security procedures and work towards ISO27001 certification;
- Occasional travel to satellite office in Bedford;
- Authoring of documentation/training material for both IT and business.
Requirements:
- Familiar with various types of Identity Management and account provisioning (SAML, SSO, SCIM, AD, etc.);
- Ability to be dynamic, self-motivated and work on own using own initiative is essential;
- Familiar with Storage provision to include availability, capacity and management of cloud and hybrid solutions;
- Ability to liaise with people on both a technical and non-technical level;
- Familiar with management of IaaS (Azure) including Security and Insight Event;
- Networks (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, VLAN, SMTP etc.);
- Office 365 and Exchange Admin (Hybrid implementation/configuration);
- Setting up and maintaining a Kubernetes cluster;
- AV remote deployment and policies configuration;
- Understanding of Virtualisation Replication and Failover;
- Apache, SSL and Tomcat setup and maintenance;
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash etc);
- Process definition and automation for builds, monitoring, alerting etc;
- A working knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows/OSX/Ubuntu) etc;
- Administration of Windows Server Systems (WSUS, Group policies, HyperV, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory etc.).
