Principal Design Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Principal Design Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Development of Engineers specialist competence and capability within a stated specific Design Group;
- Lead design change iaw Configuration Control Requirements and Commercial implications;
- Advise in design review / design process in line with Pall QMS procedures;
- Endorse consultant services of a specialist nature to the stated Design Group and the wider Aerospace engineering population;
- Build Design Rules, specific to stated design specialism;
- Financial/Budget Responsibility;
- Deliver Design Engineering Specialism Leadership;
- Create innovative design solutions while fostering Delivers Right First Time Design Definition;
- Delivery of Design verification against specific product lines.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Bachelors Degree or BTEC qualification with suitable experience;
- Chartered status with IMechE or RAes is very desireable;
- Aerospace new product introduction;
- Design verification via analysis and calculation.
