Senior Control Systems Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop PLC control software solutions;
- Develop SCADA / HMI software;
- Carry out on-site commissioning;
- Ability to foster great relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues;
- Perform testing with customers;
- Mentor less experienced engineers to build team skill level;
- Produce design and test documentation;
- Commit to the whole life cycle of delivering projects from start to finish;
- Compile training manuals and run customer training sessions.
Requirements:
- Have high intellect and potentials to evolve within the company;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Formal engineering qualification ideal;
- Solid control system design experience in a similar role – Siemens PLC/HMI/SCADA knowledge essential;
- Possess an interest in industrial control and automation – must have background of process automation i.e. Water, Food, Chemical, Utilities;
- Experience of working in an engineering environment;
- 8+ years experience of developing PLC control solutions, writing software and working with customers delivery projects;
- Think outside the box and push the boundaries;
- Advanced level of experience with the Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley suite of PLC programming tools (RS studio 5000 , RSLogix500);
- Positive, personable and happy team player;
- Must be eligible to work in the UK;
- Ability and desire to share knowledge with less experienced engineers;
- High level of experience with other PLC platforms such as Siemens, Schneider and Mitsubishi, with an appetite to learn new technologies;
- Highly motivated, organised and flexible;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office incl. Word, Excel & Outlook.
