SEO Account Director Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a SEO Account Director to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Aligning strategies with other digital marketing channels;
- Reporting to the Head of SEO to develop strategies for the client;
- Collate and provide insights from data by working with analysts to ensure accurate and actionable reporting can be produced;
- Line manage and delegating work to Technical SEO Account Managers;
- Ensure all client requests are met and surpassed in a timely, professional, and efficient manner, with client expectation managed effectively;
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered to a professional standard and in line with the agreed timings;
- Reporting and presenting results, actions and next steps to clients weekly and monthly, and in quarterly meetings;
- Effective line management of an SEO Executive via training and delegation of tasks to ensure all workstreams are met on time;
- Understand business operations and the requirements and how best SEO integrates. Support the implementation of this,
- Responsible for setting up, preparing and the delivery of regular client status meetings, reports and ownership of client roadmaps;
- Ensure high levels of service are delivered from all Owned Media team members working on accounts;
- Produce performance projections, based on accurate data and a valid methodology, presented to clients in an understandable way;
- Time management – of individuals and self;
- Main day-to-day contact with clients, demonstrating an enterprising and pro-active attitude to all client dealings;
- Develop relationships with key client stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience managing a team of SEO managers and executives;
- Pro Excel and PowerPoint skills;
- Previous experience in providing technical audits and ongoing recommendations;
- Up-to-date knowledge and sound judgement on recent technology and SEO trends;
- Involvement in developing client strategies;
- Excellent CSS, JavaScript (especially Angular.js & React.js) and HTML skill;
- Working knowledge of a variety of CMS and server technologies;
- Evidence of previous SEO success,
- 3+ years in SEO, including agency experience;
- Analytical skills (inc. Adobe and Google Analytics);
- Experience leading, forecasting and creating strategies for clients;
- Familiarity working with other agencies and channels;
- Experience managing and executing SEO for an enterprise business,
- Experience working with a wide variety of SEO/Search tools;
- Worked across multiple clients in previous/existing role.
