Commercial Gas Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To provide cover for other associated staff during times of absence;
- Attendance of regular site meetings;
- Ensure that acceptable levels of customer care are provided at all times;
- Participation in our Emergency Call Out service;
- Regular use of our computer systems and other software packages;
- Servicing and maintenance on Commercial and Domestic appliances;
- Water monitoring;
- Fault Finding;
- Boilers, chillers, cooling towers etc;
- Completing the job systems;
- Take part in a call out rota 1 in 4/5 week;
- A small amount of domestic boiler servicing and installation within commercial buildings;
- Plant checks;
- PPMs;
- Fan coil servicing and repair.
Requirements:
- ACS Commercial Gas certified – COCN1, CORT1, CIGA1, ICPN1 and TPCP1A as a minimum;
- Occasional call outs required;
- Clear communicator both oral and written;
- A minimum of: COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, CCN1, CENWAT;
- Full driving licence;
- Full UK driving licence;
- Commercial GasSafe qualifications, COCN1/CODNCO1 minimum;
- A proven track record of trouble shooting within a boiler room;
- Basic Electrical knowledge;
- Core CCN1 up to 70kw (domestic) with Commercial Changeover (CODNC01) for over 70kw appliances;
- All applicants must be Gas Safe Certified;
- Good all round knowledge of heating systems, fixed electrical systems & controls/BMS;
- Tightness testing TPCP1A, TPCP1;
- 17/18th Edition – Desired;
- Background in Commercial Gas Engineer role.
