Nights Maintenance Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Nights Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure SAP maintenance system is fully utilised and kept up to date for all site works;
- To take shared responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of all maintenance engineering activities;
- Responsible for the timely resolution of manufacturing, packaging and site services breakdown issues;
- Support Lead Engineers in developing preventative maintenance programs and improvements to support asset reliability;
- Adopt root cause analysis tools to support one-time fix solutions for repeat failures;
- Provide engineering breakdown support for the Shift Production Teams ensuring operational downtime is kept to a minimum;
- Support Planned Maintenance activities to a high standard when required;
- Ensure assets are fit for use and in line with Health & Safety policies and procedures;
- Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained to standard.
Requirements:
- Electrical Maintenance Engineer experience within a manufacturing or production industry essential;
- Proven ability to effectively fault find and diagnose faults on 3 phase systems;
- A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure;
- Time served apprenticeship is highly advantageous;
- Candidates with Tier 1 Automotive or other high volume manufacturing or assembly or press experience are of particular interest;
- 3 years minimum manufacturing experience;
- C&G 18th edition;
- Electrical/Mechanical qualifications to ONC/ HNC or equivalent;
- Invertors AC/DC experience;
- Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
- PLC Experience fault diagnosis/programming.
