Our company is looking for a Semi Skilled Operative to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To operate safely and effectively machinery;
- Work within accordance with Health and Safety regulations;
- When requested train in other areas to meet departmental demands;
- To be able to work to service sheets and complete appropriate record sheets;
- To demonstrate the ability to pass on instructions and training to other personnel in the department;
- Participate in projects and improvement groups within the Company when required;
- To work to an acceptable level and demonstrate continuous improvement;
- Ability to assist Fitter and Electrician as and when required;
- Comply with all safety rules, record and report production data;
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, and support Honeywell Operating System;
- Set up and changeover of equipment.
Requirements:
- Ability to work within a team environment;
- Interpersonal, Good communication skills at all levels;
- Ability to work under pressure and to use initiative;
- Experience of using measuring equipment such as micrometers or verniers;
- Ability to read and understand product drawings;
- Planned and preventative maintenance duties;
- To demonstrate a high level of manual dexterity;
- To demonstrate relevant numeracy and literacy ability;
- The ability to undertake tasks using magnifying equipment as necessary;
- To be able to communicate effectively.
