Class Teacher Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Class Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out any other duties as the Headteacher may reasonably direct.
Requirements:
- QTS;
- Strong classroom management;
- Enhanced DBS on the online update system (or willing to have one processed);
- 2 years references, 1 being most recent employer;
- Provide documents to clear APSCo vetting process;
- EYFS curriculum knowledge;
- KS2 – A whole class, structured approach to the teaching of reading based on exciting, classic and current texts;
- KS1 and KS2 – Maths No Problem – a structured mastery approach to the teaching of maths;
- An exciting wider curriculum designed by our own teachers;
- KS1 and KS2 – Write Stuff – an exciting and structured approach to the teaching of writing, written by Jane Considine;
- Sound EYFS curriculum knowledge;
- An relational approach to behaviour management based on the work of Paul Dix (‘’When Adults Change Everything Changes’’);
- Letters and sounds for phonics, supplemented with a range of vibrant resources and materials including Floppy’s Phonics in Reception and Year 1.
