Our company is looking for a Early Years Practitioner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Local Authority and other professionals associated with the Nursery;
  • Work alongside the management and staff team to ensure that the vision and values of the company are fully implemented and upheld;
  • To plan and prepare activities relating to children’s interests and abilities;
  • To work as a good team member;
  • To follow policies and procedures;
  • To ensure the company policies and procedures are fully implemented and followed in your area and across the nursery;
  • To work closely as a team, with an emphasis on promoting partnership with parents;
  • To work in partnership with parents;
  • To monitor and record each individual child’s progress;
  • Liaise with and support parents and other family members;
  • Planning for children individually;
  • Keeping accurate developmental observations, records & reports;
  • Help with personal care when needed;
  • Safeguard children at all times;
  • Promoting independence – teaching children about hand washing and important routines.

Requirements:

  • You must have legal right to work in the UK;
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained;
  • Relevant skills for working with children aged 0 – 5 years;
  • Previous experience of working in a Day Nursery;
  • Have a clear understanding of the EYFS, statutory frameworks and guidance;
  • Have the ability to read a book upside down and not be afraid to get dressed up and stuck into messy play;
  • Form relationships with parents and children alike;
  • Maintain and ensure the safety of the premises with particular reference to the safety of the children. Follow the settlings policies and procedures;
  • Safeguarding with Children;
  • ASAP starts;
  • Experience in an early years setting would be advantageous or experience working in a childcare setting either in schools or care;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience of working with children;
  • CACHE Level 1, 2, 3 or equivalent;
  • Degree in early years education or related to childcare.
