Our company is looking for a Early Years Practitioner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Local Authority and other professionals associated with the Nursery;
- Work alongside the management and staff team to ensure that the vision and values of the company are fully implemented and upheld;
- To plan and prepare activities relating to children’s interests and abilities;
- To work as a good team member;
- To follow policies and procedures;
- To ensure the company policies and procedures are fully implemented and followed in your area and across the nursery;
- To work closely as a team, with an emphasis on promoting partnership with parents;
- To work in partnership with parents;
- To monitor and record each individual child’s progress;
- Liaise with and support parents and other family members;
- Planning for children individually;
- Keeping accurate developmental observations, records & reports;
- Help with personal care when needed;
- Safeguard children at all times;
- Promoting independence – teaching children about hand washing and important routines.
Requirements:
- You must have legal right to work in the UK;
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained;
- Relevant skills for working with children aged 0 – 5 years;
- Previous experience of working in a Day Nursery;
- Have a clear understanding of the EYFS, statutory frameworks and guidance;
- Have the ability to read a book upside down and not be afraid to get dressed up and stuck into messy play;
- Form relationships with parents and children alike;
- Maintain and ensure the safety of the premises with particular reference to the safety of the children. Follow the settlings policies and procedures;
- Safeguarding with Children;
- ASAP starts;
- Experience in an early years setting would be advantageous or experience working in a childcare setting either in schools or care;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience of working with children;
- CACHE Level 1, 2, 3 or equivalent;
- Degree in early years education or related to childcare.
