KS2 Teacher Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a KS2 Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Setting clear targets to be reached whilst creating a high level of interest and participation;
- Building good relationships with pupils and other members of school staff;
- Planning and delivering all lessons following the curriculum;
- Identifying the needs of individuals and groups within the class, taking note of individual education plans and liaising with the SENCO as required;
- Creating and maintaining a safe learning environment which supports the learning of all pupils;
- Monitoring pupil’s development, strengths and weaknesses and setting targets for progress;
- Working with a child’s strengths and weaknesses to support their development and progress;
- Marking and assessments;
- Report writing;
- Fully responsible of the class;
- To plan and prepare lessons;
- Full involvement in wider school life;
- Delivery of the National Curriculum.
Requirements:
- You must be willing to attend a registration interview;
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained;
- You must have legal right to work in the UK;
- Overseas trained teachers are welcome to apply, however at least six months UK KS2 class teaching is essential to be considered for this position;
- Able to inspire your colleagues and pupils alike and want to further develop your leadership skills through excellent CPD and support;
- Have experience with 11+ would be a benefit;
- A Post Graduate Certificate of Education, Graduate Teacher Programme Certification or Bachelor of Education qualification;
- Can work effectively in a team of teachers, support staff and outside agencies;
- Have a PGCE, Bed, QTS or Naric equivalence (essential);
- The successful candidate will have UK KS2 teaching experience,
- You must possess a teaching qualification with QTS;
- Have some experience teaching some English (Essential);
- Proven enthusiasm, organisation and flexibility (essential);
- This position is suitable for NQTs;
- Have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship (essential).
