Responsibilities:
- Observing and implementing current school policies and good practice;
- Organising the classroom and learning resources, to encourage a positive learning environment;
- Following the specific rules and procedures of the school;
- Work within a talented KS2 Team;
- Leading classes and following planned work scheme;
- Contributing to pupil progress across the whole school;
- Planning and Marking may be applicable in long term roles;
- Supervise and support the work of teaching assistants;
- Marking pupils work (if instructed to by class teacher);
- Maintaining discipline;
- Inner London Primary School – Islington;
- Strong behaviour management skills;
- Become part of a fantastic team;
- Follow the ethos and rules of each school you work within;
- Positively integrate yourself in each new environment.
Requirements:
- DBS on the online update;
- Strong KS1 and KS2 knowledge;
- Pre-booked work in addition to emergency bookings;
- Be registered with the EWC;
- This post would suit NQTs and fully qualified teachers;
- Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification giving QTS;
- A clean DBS police check and no question regarding suitability to work with children;
- Be enthusiastic and an advocate for learning;
- Primary Education trained;
- Be able to provide two relevant references;
- Be knowledgeable around the current curriculum;
- Flexible approach to working, able to get to local schools with short notice in the mornings;
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Teachers;
- Have or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check;
- Intelligent & inventive classroom management skills.
