Our company is looking for a Nursery Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies;
  • Encouraging learning through play and other interactive activities;
  • Safeguarding children daily;
  • Ensure the children are supervised at all times;
  • Developing bonds with key children and supporting colleagues when it is most required;
  • Able to keep children entertained;
  • Tailoring best practice and routines to ensure that the individual needs of each child are able to be met throughout the day;
  • Ensure the needs of each child are met;
  • Working in co-operation with other Early Years Practitioner to assure the ongoing development of children;
  • Assisting in delivering programs of activities for children aged 6 months to 5 years;
  • Reading the children stories, helping during any group or circle times;
  • Carrying out age appropriate activities while maintaining a safe and fun environment for the children;
  • Providing excellent childcare;
  • Reporting to the class teacher and assisting them;
  • Supervising and engaging with children during the garden play.

Requirements:

  • An unrivalled dedication to childcare;
  • NNEB * BTEC Nat Dip * CACHE Dip in Childcare * NVQ level 3 *SVQ Level 3;
  • Qualifications – you will need to hold a level 3 or higher qualification;
  • A level 2 or level 3 qualification in Childcare;
  • Full understanding of safe guarding;
  • Good communication and interaction skills;
  • Observing in line with the EYFS regulations;
  • Good communication skills both with children and parents;
  • A passion for working with and supporting children;
  • Experience working with children aged 0 – 5;
  • Ability to safeguard all children in your care;
  • Previous experience of working with young children;
  • A fantastic work ethic and caring nature;
  • A level 2 or 3 qualification in early years;
  • Genuine desire and passion for ongoing learning and development.
