Our company is looking for a Chef Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by the company particularly in regards to customers’ special dietary requiirements;
  • Ensure food policy and strategy in areas such as allergen management are implemented and followed and food safety is;
  • Ensure our teams work in clean, safe and compliant working environments;
  • Team development, create staff rotas and manage day to day staff HR issues or requests;
  • Drive sales and profitability through implementing both individual and food-team initiatives;
  • Ensuring that your site achieves the financial targets agreed in line with budgets;
  • Managing every aspect of catering within the location, delivering a quality catering service in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements;
  • Leading the catering team and managing performance;
  • Monitoring the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognising training needs and potential as appropriate;
  • Adhering to company policies with HACCAP and COSHH;
  • Holding team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information;
  • Accountable for maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget;
  • Ensuring that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and that their food service and value expectations are consistently exceeded;
  • Accountable for ensuring ongoing team & resident communications;
  • Accountable for creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence.

Requirements:

  • English and Mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and Mathematics at Level 2 or equivalent;
  • Level 3 Kitchen, Larder or Vocational experience. (3+ years of supervisory level;
  • Hygiene Qualification at Level 2;
  • Current food hygiene certificate;
  • Experience in multi operational outlets;
  • Similar experience, cooking with fresh ingredients;
  • Stock Control and Ordering;
  • Previous experience in a similar contract catering / chef management role;
  • Knowledgeable with menu planning, costing and health and safety;
  • The ability to demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving and have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service;
  • A customer facing background comfortable serving customers;
  • Strong supervisory experience and financially and commercially astute.
