Our company is looking for a Pastry Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in food production;
  • Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen section and ensures maximum utilization of food;
  • Ensuring that the correct standards are in place and if not, to redirect and control;
  • Assisting with menu planning;
  • Good communication with the extended team, front of house team and other departments;
  • Working with fresh produce;
  • Entrusted to run an environment that is clean, tidy and organised at all times;
  • Improves his/her station in areas where necessary;
  • Keep to the high standards already set within the property;
  • Responsibility for producing all deserts, cakes,puddings, pastries to a high standard for afternoon teas, celebrations,meetings and the dessert menu;
  • To work collaboratively with Head chef for the smooth running of the overall kitchen function;
  • Responsible for the day to day running of your section;
  • Assists wherever help is required;
  • The cleanliness, stock control, organisation and standards of the section;
  • In charge of the organisation of goods/provisions.

Requirements:

  • Planning and Time Management;
  • A flexible attitude;
  • Rosette experience advantageous;
  • Previous Pastry Chef experience of 2-3 years in quality establishments;
  • Applicants must be well presented and have a stable CV with good references;
  • To be qualified to at least NVQ level 2;
  • Flexible, reliable and able to work under pressure;
  • The ability to develop inspiring dishes;
  • General kitchen and food knowledge;
  • Good level of English communication;
  • Works in a professional manner and is able to motivate his/her employees;
  • Cost and quality awareness;
  • A passion and enthusiasm for Food;
  • Previous supervisory experience – advantageous;
  • Great communication and team work.
