Responsibilities:
- To adapt and develop the role of Nurse Practitioner, ensuring flexibility and willingness to expand the role as required;
- Carry out influenza inoculations programmes at practice and client sites;
- Provide advice on overseas travel and vaccinations;
- Maintain up to date knowledge on all professional nursing matters;
- Maintain accurate confidential health records;
- Providing leadership, education and training to different healthcare professionals, staff and students;
- Providing expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues;
- Maintain the highest standards of primary health nursing care;
- Co-ordinate and participate in health promotion days;
- As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group;
- Provide care for the patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment;
- Providing advanced level of autonomous nursing practices to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and refer patients;
- Providing assistance to our same day access / ?Duty Team? who work across our two GP Surgery sites;
- Delivering holistic health care for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems using advanced nursing skills;
- Dealing with all aspects of telephone triage.
Requirements:
- Minor illness;
- Practitioners should have significant experience in primary care or A&E/Minor Injuries Unit;
- Msc in Advanced Practice;
- Have a Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent experience;
- Home visits;
- Telephone Triage;
- Minor Illness experience;
- Prescriber;
- Previous experience as a prescribing nurse;
