Responsibilities:

  • To adapt and develop the role of Nurse Practitioner, ensuring flexibility and willingness to expand the role as required;
  • Carry out influenza inoculations programmes at practice and client sites;
  • Provide advice on overseas travel and vaccinations;
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on all professional nursing matters;

  • Providing leadership, education and training to different healthcare professionals, staff and students;
  • Providing expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues;

  • Dealing with all aspects of telephone triage.

Requirements:

  • Minor illness;
  • Practitioners should have significant experience in primary care or A&E/Minor Injuries Unit;
  • Msc in Advanced Practice;
  • Have a Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent experience;
  • Home visits;
  • Telephone Triage;
  • Minor Illness experience;
  • Prescriber;
  • Previous experience as a prescribing nurse;
  • Flexible working hours;
