Our company is looking for a Bank Support Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, and to participate in social and community activities;
- Promote independence, dignity, respect and choice across service users;
- Maintain care records; recording observations, activities and assessments;
- Support social and recreational activities; both in and out the home individually, or as part of a group;
- Provide personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and on occasion, assisting with meal times;
- Provide a high level of personal, physical and emotional care;
- On occasion, welcome and train new members of your care team;
- Personal, practical, social and domestic support;
- Completing relevant documentation;
- To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and other whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality;
- To work as part of a team to provide high quality care;
- To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment;
- To assist the senior trained staff in their day-to-day duties and clinical related tasks;
- To be actively involved with the day to day routine in individual and group activities;
- To practice within a legal framework encompassing statutory, organisational policy and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to go the extra mile if it means making a positive difference to Service User lives;
- Current DBS on the online update service (this will speed up the process);
- Your own car preferably;
- Up to date mandatory training certificates (this will speed up the process);
- Enthusiastic with excellent communication skills committed to developing positive working relationships;
- Caring and respectful enabling the people we support to have a high quality of life and make their own decisions;
