Our company is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in Woodland Grove;
  • To comply with all statutory ad legal requirements such as Health and Safety and COSHH regulations;
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained, cleaned and stored with any faults reported to the Home Manager;
  • Ensuring all daily work schedules are completed on time and to the standards required;
  • Working closely with other team members and management team;
  • Ensure cleaning is carried out in accordance with recognised methods;
  • Carry out duties with due regard to fire and accident prevention;
  • Remove rubbish to designated collection points and empty residents’ room bins on a daily basis;
  • Ensure that the daily work rota is completed within the agreed timescale and hygiene standards are met.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a team that is focused on exceeding guest expectations, and have customer service at the heart of everything you do;
  • Willing to commit to a 4 month contract at sea, working 7 days per week;
  • Knowledge of the USPH and other international Public Health rules and regulations is advantageous;
  • High standard of personal hygiene;
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Reliable and trustworthy;
  • Basic standard of literacy and ability to understand instructions as demonstrated by GCSE qualifications or NVQ Level 1;
  • Ability to execute and follow up on standard operating procedure;
  • Fluent English speaking, reading & writing;
  • The ability to motivate the team;
  • Cleaning experience in a similar environment with a commitment to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene;
  • At least 2 years experience as an Assistant Housekeeper or Housekeeper for a 4/5* hotel or onboard a cruise ship;
  • Must have working experience with an extensive cleaning programme;
  • Great attitude, willingness to learn and good presentation;
  • Able to manage time and tasks.
